A Clinical Study on Features of Mandibular Fracture



Abstract
This is a retrospective study on mandibular fracture of Korean. This study is based on a series of 134 patients who had been treated for mandibular fracture as in-patient at Yongsan Hospital, School of Medicine, Chung Ang university from January,
1986
to December, 1990.
@ES The results were obtained as follows:
@EN 1) the incidence of mandibular fracture was gradually increased.
2) The fracture incidence was highest in November.
3) The incidence of fracture was higher in male.
4) The highest age group in incidence was second decade.
5) The cause of fracture was similar distribution between traffic accidents and fights.
6) The most frequent fracture site was symphysis.
7) The use of metal plate was gradually increased.
